Adal Rifai: Resident Coach


Adal Rifai has been improvising in Chicago since 2007. He performs at iO with the house team Revolver, in the weekly show Whirled News Tonight (iO) and around the U.S. with Pudding-Thank-You and BagCat . Past iO credits include Swim BuddiesOur Feature Presentation: The Improvised MovieRadical Concept andHunter Family Crest. He has performed at Second City as a member of TwistyHouseCo. and SketchCo. Along with performing Adal also coaches and teaches at iO, The Improv Den and around Chicago, runs the coaching program at iO, directed the Incubator and coaching program at the Playground Theater and has taught and performed improv all over the U.S. He is also the voice of Chunt the shapeshifter on the podcast Hello From the Magic Tavern. 

The Chicago Improv Den is an advanced, supplemental improvisational training program.We are focused on training our students to be the best actors, listeners and—most importantly–ensemble players. This program commits itself to doing this through a carefully considered curriculum with a variety of Chicago’s best improv minds, as well as bi-weekly labs that reinforce curriculum.
